On Wisdom

There was a time, I considered myself wise.
But the world made me foolish, so I had to learn.
And now I realise through life's travels,
That wisdom is rare and precious indeed.
I had to give up the idea,
That great wisdom comes with age.
Often the wisest I've met
Are much younger than me.
I have been taught while I teach,
And learn while they learn,
To uncover the secret of wisdom,
Which is to always seek for it.
