I fixed my gaze upon her. Not again, I thought. All I have to do is mildly disagree and she replies like this.

So I decided this time to do something different. A lesson from the Whalan family history.

So as our family are Norman and thus descended from Vikings, our family historian decided to include a brief description of the latter’s lifestyle. And what struck me was the instant divorce rule: “Any domestic violence man to woman, woman to man, meant the marriage was over”, I said to my then wife.
