Each step melts the ice more thinly Yet to stop is to slip and certainly fall in Each pulse’s drop of blood slows to freeze And vein and artery strains for release.. Every morning I wake and the test rebegins Every word even each thought chosen carefully Every gesture subdued all feelings hidden Every action…
