When the cold came I cowered in fear
When the sun shone I hid my eyes
When the wind blew I plugged my ears
When the rain flew I shielded my face.
When the plague spread, I closed my breath.
When the floods rose, I swam hill high.
When the flames came, I ran seaward.
When the rising waves came, I fled westward.
Only then too late I knew I was completely misplaced,
Only then too late I knew all had melted and disappeared.
